Thank you parents and campers for working on your corrections in your Math duo tangs! Today we did a Tic Tac Toe Math review for Thursday's test. I decided to make this end of the unit assessment in two parts.
THURSDAY will be focused on ...
- Representing numbers in different ways (Base Ten Pictures, Base Ten Name, Expanded form, Standard Form, In Words, Place Value Chart)
- Comparing (>, <, =) and ordering numbers (greatest to least, least to greatest)
- Rounding numbers to the nearest ten and hundred
- Related Facts
- Stating the VALUE of a digit in a number (Ex. 462, the value of the 6 is 60)
Early next week, we will do another assessment on...
- Addition and Subtraction of 1, 2 and 3-Digit numbers with and without regrouping
- Finding missing numbers in equations (54 + ? = 132 or ? - 52 = 83)
I will take an average of the two assessments, factor in class participation and in class assignments to make up a final grade for this strand. We have been working very hard on this unit, so I anticipate students doing very well with review.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11th - Picture day! Say Cheese!
