MATH: We will soon be wrapping up this BIG unit in number sense soon. There are many errors that still need to be corrected. They are marked with a yellow sticky on each page. Please make sure your child goes back and corrects these errors. I explained to students that only I am allowed to remove the stickies - as I want to see that they are corrected and mark it with 'Ok'.
THRoW: Many students have expressed grave concern over the fact that our one page story for THRoW this week did not have an author or illustrator. In that case, which will likely happen often, one just writes 'Author Unknown" or Illustrator Unknown".
TAKE HOME READING PROGRAM: I have been meeting with various students to see how they are progressing in their take home reading programs. To date, if your child has been reading every school night (not including weekends or holidays) for 20 mins at a time, they would have already reached a total of 360 minutes of reading so far! So, that being said, my goal is to keep on top of each student's progress so that if they are lagging behind, we have time to correct it and get down to reading! Out of the 6 students I have conferenced with, only 1 has been reading every night. So, I need your help, parents, to see to it that my campers are reading.
